A couple more Daylilies

Every year after Easter, I find a spot in the yard to plant my spent Easter Lily.
Here is one that is blooming.  It only came up with one new flower.

Here is a different plant ready to open its flowers.

Here is another color of the daylilies I planted by the fence.
What a beautiful peach color and shape.

Hearts

I have a great fondness for hearts.
The right one is a leather paperweight given to me by my sister Linda.
The left one was a givaway at a Hallmark store one Valentines Day
for buying so many cards.

This heart Sam gave me for Christmas one year.  I love it with my cross and Miraculous Medal.

A red paperweight my sister gave me.  Another heart made from an old coverlet.
Here is a crosstitched sampler I made for our 10th wedding anniversary.
How time flys, this year it will be 30.

I just found this cool bookend at Big Lots.
It was the last one and kept calling to me everytime I walked by.

Just various jewelry pieces.

My Niece Angie gave me the blue heart.

Here is a great Polish Pottery piece.

I found the Love heart at a Lang Store one year on vacation.
An anniversary card my Husband Tom got for me last year.
I love that cut out heart.

A Little Picture

Sharing a picture painted from my pots on the front porch.
It has been given to a new, far away friend who we swapped fabrics and notions, Mette .

House Pics 06-24-2010

The chimney is taller and survived the furious winds last night.

A different angle and view.

Starting to put brick on the fireplace.

It's pretty along the wall. I wanted the brick for this outdoor room a more rustic look.
The name is Williamsburg-I didn't think I could go wrong with that.
A little more siding, I like the way it angles down at the bottom.

Where the TV and Phone wires come together.
TV is black, Phone is blue. Lots of TV wires....
we like to stay connected to the world.

These haven't totally found a home yet.

The fuse boxes have arrived though.
It looks like a lot of work goes on in this garage.

The Daylilies are Blooming!

I decided one day I wanted daylilies in this spot.

So I kept scouring Lowes and Meijer for different colors.

I succeeded in finding 5 different ones.

They are not any trouble to take care of.

I love the balloon flowers.

A mother robin built her nest in the crabapple tree this year.

The butterfly bush is flowering just fine.  I have faith that the butterflys are finding it.  I very rarely see one on it.
I have a nosy tag-a long.

This one I usually have to walk around because he is oblivious to anyone else in the area.

I always enjoy this path going to the backyard.
It will be fun to figure out the landscaping and flowers for the new house.

House Pic 06-23-2010

The fireplace is coming along nicely!
It looks like the terra cotta doodads got set up through the ceiling today, to make the......

Chimney!  There is one sitting on top holding that wood.  Doesn't the chimney look great?

There are lots of wires hanging everywhere, it is amazing to me how they get them all hooked up and working.

House Pics 06-22-2010

I haven't added any pictures for a few days,
but sit back, I have quite a few now.

The bricklayers are putting together the masonry fireplace in the outdoor room.

Here is a better farther away picture.

These terre cotta doo dads make up the chimney.

The back of the house is pretty much done with the siding.
It looks fabulous!

Here is the end with the sunroom.
Very Nice!

Around the corner.

And on to the front.

The front of the garages are also done.

This picture just shows the true color of the brick.

I think that this is just a great feature.
Lights down the stairway.

There will be three.

This is the basement ejector pit.

This is the alarm for the basement ejector pit.
Because.....if your ejector pit quits working
you're in deep you know what!

As you can tell, this is a furnace...Steve the Builder
said heat was included.

Wires, wires everywhere, but can't turn on a light.

I think we have a bad mole problem.
I wish someone would have told us about this.
Seriously....I think this was some kind of hook up.

Sam, we can tell you are gone.
You keep the place tidy!

I think the heat has gotten to our cat Sebastian.
He looks like one of those dead raccoons, bloated on the side of the road.
