Poppies, Daisys and Tiles-Oh My!

I just noticed that my poppies have started blooming.
The crepe paper like petals fascinate me..

My Nieces and Nephews gave this daisy to me the other night.
I thank them again for it.

I have found these mexican tiles to put into my tiled shower.

I also found these lovely glass ones too.
I am striving for an eye opening, day brightening shower.

It's Here

My favorite quilt magazine to dream on.
It comes out twice a year, in spring and fall.
My plan when the time is right is to open my own quilt shop.
It is so enjoyable to read about these people who followed their dream doing something they love and making it a viable business venture.
Someday, someday it will come true, I feel confident.  .

Here is a view from the front.

For Mette who loves Dresden Plates

This little quilt I made a few years ago.
It measures 23 inches by 23 inches.
I hand pieced and quilted it.
It is made with reproduction 1930's fabrics.
It is one of my favorites.

Card Sharing

Last week was my Brother-in-law, Daves birthday.
I made him this card.
This crabby blue bird makes me smile.
I thought he would appreciate it.

The Bluebird stamp is a Bugawumps rubberstamps
and the saying is from Morningstar stamps.
The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye.
The solid paper is probably from Stampin Up but I am not sure of the color.
Lastly I embossed it with my Cuttlebug
and the Bluebird is colored with Watercolor Pencils..

Da Life!

This was one of my finds at Big Lots.
(Not the Cat)

It's really sturdy and very rarely is there not a cat on top of it.
It wasn't cheap and I hoped that the cats wouldn't turn their noses up at it.
Knowing how finicky they are.
It has turned out to be a hit.
Sometimes there is one on top, one through the middle and one half way into the bottom, all at the same time.

A cats life, isn't it great!
