Believe in Detroit

Our favorite commercial last night at the Super Bowl was "Imported from Detroit"  it was selling Chryslers.
If you don't remember it here it is.

The city is trying to comeback and it is on it's way.
There is a campaign called Believe in Detroit.

We feel it is on it's way.
We have the best time when we go there.

Solitary watcher

The window is just the right height to sit and gaze outside.

Just to see what there is to see.

Then to see what is going on behind him.

Snowed Again

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

~Joyce Kilmer, "Trees," 1914

This is one of our neighbors pretty pine trees.

Big Chocolate Chippers

Don't ya just love em.
Perfect for a snowy day.

Never Too Old

The lure of a good pile of snow still draws him.
He has done this since he was old enough to play in the snow by himself.
He was right outside my studio window, I think he wanted to get captured.
