Random Pictures

I enjoy blogs that I can sit and quickly get the idea of the post just by the pictures.
Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words
and that is why I try to keep the words to a minimum.
The following are your "pretty picture fix" for the day.

The Tree is just a Great Old Guy.

Close up of a butterfly bush flower.
I wasn't fast enough because there was a butterfly on it shortly before I snapped the photo.
Drats....missed him again.

Our neighbor Kay, had these wonderful colors of snapdragons.
How happy does that make you?
I know they made me smile.
This is Brookside (Formerly known as the Bass Mansion).
It has been under a renovation to house offices and meeting rooms.
Plants were being installed today and it was just a picture perfect.
I am anxious to see the insides of the rooms.

Another angle

This is one of my favorite statues on the university grounds.
It is the Holy Family and it was created by one of the universities art professors.

House Pics 06-30-2010

Well the flashing made it on to the chimney and it looks good.
So that means that it is completely done.

The siding on the back of the house looks very nice.

The side of the garage looks great too.
Siding was added at the curved window and on the right side.

This is a welcome sign that the foam insulation has started.  That meant that the inspection for the framing was done and we can move forward because it must have passed and it won't fall in on us like a bunch of matchsticks ;-).

Windows and doors have plastic covering so that no foam gets on them.

I liked the ECOBATT, it's good to be green.

Here it is being used in the basement.

House Pics 06-28-2010

The bricks are done on the front porch.

A closer look
Very Pretty.
The sidewalk will be lined with these too.

The fireplace is also done.
A nice big hearth to sit on and put your feet up on those crisp days.
How nice that will be.

The chimney is also completed except for the flashing between the chimney and roof.
The electrical was inspected today.

It seems to be working.

One last look before the insulation and the drywall.

This where the vent fan will go above the cooktop.
The Electricians and  Steve the Builder gave me lots of good light to cook by.
It's much appreciated.

There will be a whole new look once the drywall goes up
Instead of Rustic Americana.
