I was shopping at one of my favorite stores-Marshalls-they carry last years styles at discount rates and they have great selections of handbags.  I fell in love with this one instantly.  I love accessories with pattern.  My clothes have texture and color but usually no pattern.  I try things on but I can't bring myself to buy them.  This company is called Sakroots and I had not heard of them before.  Here is the website.  I feel like I have found a new favorite.  I always loved Fossil bags and such because they have wonderful patterns, and this is right along with that idea.

The pattern is on this tag.  After looking at the website the color for 2012 is more magenta and such.  I am so happy I came across last years style, the colors WOW me.

Here is a closer picture.  It is made of the plastic canvas material and is very deep.  You have to watch that though, I get too many items in there and then my shoulders start aching.
I was also impressed that they are taking part in the plant a billion trees campaign.
We have to take care of our planet for our future generation.

birthday card

My Brother in Law's birthday is this month, here is the card I made.  I used Patterned Paper, torn cardstock at the bottom, heat embossed words, sparkles on the sun and colored the sailboat with Prismacolor Pencils and used a blending pencils on the sails.
The inside of the card....I always love the VW  Flower Power bus

I always like to put a little somthing on the envelope too.
The Denami Chickie driving the car.

Journaling book

I found this inspirational journaling book.
I have plans to practice all types of mediums this summer along with sewing, quilting, working in the landscaping and organizing the storage room.

That big pencil is holding my graphite pencils.  I got it in the dollar bin at Target, it's quite fun.

You just never know

We were at the Dollar Tree store on Sunday and you just never know what you will find.  We love beer bread, especially my son Kevin.  Kevin also enjoys the humor of Larry the Cable Guy...Well he endorses a beer bread mix.  All you do is add 12 ounces of beer.  I just found this very humorous. We normally get ours from the company Tastefully Simple, or we even have bought some packages from Leinenkugel Brewery when we visited them last year.
I made it and it was really very good.

The we also found Yoo-Hoo single packs.  Kevin loves those too.  I had a plastic solar hula girl in my cart, but I put it back. The sun made her dance. It was only a every thing in that store.
America is a wonderful place!

The following are the ceramic birds that
I made in 3-D art.I was morphing them from an egg to a bird.

The whole family

A pretty faux birdnest.

Weekend Bliss

This last weekend my gal friends and I went to our spring fix.
We love rubberstamping and all the tools and whistles and bells that come with the wonderfullness of it. We had such a fun time, with lots of good places to eat like P.F. Changs and Cucina Italiana.
I added to my Tombow and Copic markers.

Love this bicycle stamp

So much fun, the possibilities are endless!

Embossing plates and die cuts.
I look forward to working with it all.

School is done for the semester and the summer break has begun.
Tons of fun.

Busy visitor

I was in my laundry room and looked out on the flowers and low and behold there was Mr. Ruby Throated Hummingbird.  I just love hummingbirds! He was a busy guy moving from flower to flower.  Sometimes he blended in with the green leaves.  I couldn't help it and took quite a few pictures.  I hope you enjoy.
