House Pics 8-5-2010

This is really stunning.
I really can't get enough of it.
Its worth the extra.
Thanks Steve, rumor has it that you put this in.
Here are the white risers coming down to the basement.
Laundry room floor and trim.

Studio doors, floors and outlet covers.
Door is put on going into the master bath toilet area.
My side of the closet in the Master Closet area.
That was very exciting to see.
Trim in the Master Bedroom.

Sams Bedroom

Outdoor Bathroom floor.
Tom's side of the Master Closet.

Bar area in the basement all painted.
And Last but not least I understand that I have an avid reader that says I am always raving about the painters.
The guy on the right is half the team of Isenbarger painting....Bob.
Who has done a FABULOUS Job.
Most of you should know the guy in the middle, my husband Tom.
The guy on the left is my avid reader, Darwin.
It makes me happy to know that he signs on to watercolor stream.
He says that he doesn't need to go to the house because the blog is 'just like being there'.
He will play a huge part of our move because he gets the job of moving the heavy items.
He also can carry a keg downstairs by himself.
Thank you Dar, I look forward to having you sit at the new bar for an up to date picture.

Fun Stuff

While packing the other day I came across some things that I had bought and never opened.
Some stencils and a light table and pastels.
What a treat!

This is used to perforate vellum for a card.
They are beautiful when done.

I liked the picture and thought spiced rum sounded kind of good.
Put it with some diet coke?
Her lei is placed so discreetly.

House Pics 08-03-2010

My Gosh, I think that is just breathtaking.
This is so sturdy, there is not a wiggle to it.
This crew is fantastic also.
Such quality work.
Each day we come over is a treat.
The painters, Bob and Jeff are going to town.
All the basement has color, they are still working on the second coats.

Here are what those oval pieces are for!
This piece I wasn't really expecting.
What a great surprise.

The flooring in the master bath.
Flooring down by the shower.
Getting the closets ready for the shelving.

Studio Closet.

If I were a betting person this floor will have the vinyl on it tomorrow.
Well, I kinda am.....I have a thing for scratch offs.

This is an Oooh La La!
Doors like this will go on the Den and the Studio.
Glass will be going in the panes.
Here is a stack of doors and there is another just like it.
More trim arrived today also.
Steve said they will be pretty sick of trim by the time they are done.
I'm in agreement with him.

House Pics 08-02-2010 The House Was A Buzzin

In the basement Bob and Jeff were painting.
This is the guest room in Desert Floor.

Kevin's room in Clear Sailing.

The stairway was receiving some trim.
(stay tuned, the best is yet to come)
The pretty newel posts were put up.
Isn't that lovely?  Yes, a little dusty but it will be fine.
The spindles

The trim for the sun room.
Trim for the kitchen and nook.
These were lovely too, not sure what they are used for so we will watch and wait.

I liked the pegs in the box, looks like some kind of game.
The wood is getting put on around the window.

This horse has cut a lot of wood.

The brick on the gas fireplace.
It is a lovely color called Monticello.
Just another view of it.
The floors were sanded where they are going to install the wood covering.

Underlayment where the vinyl goes.
Look at this great amount of shelving.  Lots of storage and maybe organization.

The plumbing and lighting even got delivered today.

A New Simple Pleasure

I decided to make one of Tom's favorite things....Veggie Pizza.
Went to the store and found this great invention.
I expect a woman wrote to Pillsbury and said "Why don't you make one continuous crescent dough roll"?
This was the cat's "you-know-what"!

No pressing together all those little triangles.
And it tasted good too!

Colorful

I am always on the lookout for colorful pieces.
Here is a great coffee cup I found at Big Lots.
Colorful Hearts with Red inside.
That says me all over it.

Here is a neat bowl I am going to put on my vanity with cotton balls, flossing thingys, Q-Tips.  I enjoy the texture inside of it.

\
I also love colorful stripes.
This will be perfect with the blue and yellow stripes and also the black on the top and bottom.
Perfect for the bathroom.
