Bag

Here is a bright bag I painted for my nieces birthday.
It has a happy ribbon sewn on the top and colorful buttons sewn on too.

Here is the birthday girl, she is 6.

Her sister Neve.  Doesn't she have pretty blue eyes.

Brother Liam with the brownest eyes.

Adobe Illustrator assignment 2

Another assignment that I am showing is a unisex fragrance ad.
We were to design an ad in a magazine and also the box for the fragrance that would be on the shelf in the store.  The design was to target a certain age group and should be appealing to both males and females.

Once again high resolution pictures had to be found.
I used the mountain top.

I used the dirt ground in this picture.

I liked this woman front loader driver.

I used jackhammer guy also.

Thumbnail ideas had to be drawn out.

Then a colored rough draft

And here is the finished ad.

This is the colored rough draft for the fragrance box.

And here is the finished product.
If you notice we had to put ingredients and recycling and the scan bar.
When the box was put together one side could be used for the mens section and the other for the perfume department.

A Fun Evening

Friday night we went to our first NBA game.  Our friends Dave and Nancy received complementary tickets to the Indiana Pacers vs the San Antonio Spurs in Indianpolis.  The tickets were amazing!  Three rows from the court.  Things that we noticed...the court doesn't look so big when you are right beside it.  The over 6 foot players look like short people next to 7 ft 2 players!  I expected the players just to run up and down the court and make baskets, but they actually played a good game.  It was a very close game but the Spurs ended up winning.  There was a little walkway in front of our seats so lots of people were passing in front of us.  Tom stopped two of the Pacerettes and got his picture taken with them.  I don't have the pictures right now as Nancy took them with her new phone.  We were in the same vicinity as Larry Bird, the president of the Pacers.  He is such an Indiana Icon.  He would sign your tickets during time outs and such so Tom got both our tickets signed, they will be framed and put on the Wall of Fame in the basement.  Before the game we went to an Irish Pub called.Claddaghs.  Very tasty with a great atmosphere. I guess on the way home Dave always stops at a White Castle in Anderson.  Who are we to stand in the way of tradition?  Tom and I split four sliders...then when I got home I took some tums.  Those onions are killers to your stomach at 1:00 pm. Well we have been spoiled for any other seats because those were just the best.  Thanks to Dave for asking us.

Decorated Bar

We finally got around to decorating the walls of the basement bar.
It makes it look very cozy and warm now with lots of interesting things to look at.

Here the TV wall has the FatHead on one side and the signage on the other.
95 percent of the stuff has been collected over the years.
Tom received some new signs for his birthday.

The Tiger street signs are in a prominent place above the bar.

This is our Wall of Fame.
Most of the pictures in the second row had been signed by various favorites.

Tom loves his bar!
