The Best Biscuits You Will Ever Taste

These are called Cloud Biscuits.
They absolutely melt in your mouth.
They are good with butter and honey, butter and jelly.
Toasted in the morning or using for biscuits and gravy.
You are so lucky because I am going to share the recipe of these gems.

They are so good that they automatically split in the middle for easy opening.

Cloud Biscuits

2 cups flour
1 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
2/3 cup milk

Sift together dry ingredients.  Cut in shortening with knife or pastry blender till mixture resembles course crumbs.  Add egg and milk to flour mixture.  Stir till dough follows fork around the bowl.  Turn out on lightly floured surface, knead gently with heal of hand about 20 times.  Roll out thickly and cut with large round glass.  Place on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
