New Quilt Top

I really wanted to get out my sewing machine and hone up on it because it had not been used for awhile.  While organizing my quilt fabric I found some blocks that had been cut out.  Nine Patch blocks are so easy to put together that I thought that would be the perfect project to sew up. Also wanted to practice rotary cutting and this is an easy project for that.  It is going to be a queen size quilt with 3 or 4 borders.  One border is going to be pine trees and I haven't decided on the colors for the others.  I always feel that borders make a quilt more interesting.  I am going to take meaningful pictures that we have and draw them on to the white blocks with a light table and then quilt them.

Kevin needs a bigger bed now and we found this one at Cabela's that we thought fit his personality well.  He also doesn't have a large quilt so the new one will be his.  The quilt colors are masculine and I will possibly applique some bears or moose on it.
