The assignment that the class is working on are vessels. Minimum 5 and no more than 7 with two large ones.  My first one I am working on is a pitcher. I started out with two slabs, scored and slipped them.  Then the smoothing process and then coiling to make the top.

I am trying to give it some shape and added a neck.  I had to cut out pieces and bring it together to squeeze it in. 

This is going to be another pot with a lid.  I started it out on a form for the bottom.  Then I will add coils to build it up.

This was done on another form that you can see in the picture.  The plans for it are a cake plate. 

We also loaded our tiles for firing last night.

It will be exciting to see how they come out.
